hey i go to exeter right nowthere is no set borderline that if you surpass are guaranteed an admissionin fact, many of my friends had quite a variety of grades in middle school, ranging from a mix of As, Bs, and Cs, to straight A+s aside from the grades and extracurriculars, there has to be a passion that sets you apart from others; a long list of extracurricular and clubs that anybody can join won’t get you inmetaphorically speaking, you need to have a color about youwhether it is that you are really good at math, a zealot about politics of a specific country, a regionally or nationally ranked athlete, or a passionate musician in state orchestras and ensembles, you should be someone who takes initiative to develop passion outside the classroomnow that is not to say that you should pretend to be something you are not.there are millions of qualified students around the world, but you have to ask yourself, why would an exeter admission officer want to select me?there should be an asset you can offer to the community, a specific asset that not many other people can offerit seems like Latin is your color, so try to push more in that direction. it is not about just winning awards to boast your own skills (altho that is quite important ;D ), but showing that you, as a person, can use your skill to make a contribution to those around you. that doesnt necessarily have to be community service.as of essays and test scores, most of my friends including myself had an SSAT score of 95 percentile and abovethe essays are not merely about writing skills or your accomplishments, but rather about showing who you are as a person.i hope that helped. :) good luck. exeter is a wonderful experience for anybody
