Please help. Where does the Constitution/amendment does it talk about equal rights?

I'm trying to write an essay. But I dont know where in the Constitution/amendment (ANY KIND OF LAW) that talks about men and women should be treated equal. As in, no gender is dominant more than others.THANK SO MUCH!

    The 14th Amendment is the amendment that all equal rights laws are based upon. It wasn’t originally written with women in mind it was written with recently freed slaves in mind.

    The equal rights amendment never passed, however the courts have taken the position that Section 1 of the 14th amendment requires equal treatment under the law.Amendment XIVSection 1.All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside.
