Is this a good essay start for cry, the beloved country? easy 10 pts.?

sorry if it's crappy; haven't written in quite some timeCry, the Beloved Country, by Alan Paton, is a novel that shows how men of different races are much different and much the same. The lives of the protagonist, Stephan Kumalo, and another equally significant character, James Jarvis, are the main focus that the book revolves around. They represent how if man can become broad-minded to other ethnic groups, harmony is a definite possibility for all human kind. Although these two dynamic people both undergo deep changes in the novel, they compare and contrast in many other different ways throughout the plot. The journeys Kumalo and Jarvis make in the heart of South Africa bring them together despite their differences and resemblances.

You have some definite grammatical issues.Cry, the Beloved Country by Alan Paton is a novel that shows how men of different races can are very different yet can be much the same. The lives of the protagonist, Stephan Kumalo, and another equally significant character, James Jarvis, are the main focus of the book. They represent how if man can become open minded in regards to other ethnic groups, harmony is a definite possibility for all humankind. Although these two dynamic people both undergo deep changes in the novel, they do it in many different ways throughout the book. They journeys Kumalo and Jarvis make in the heart of South Africa bring them together despite their differences.

It’s written well, and consistent with the book’s theme. However, I’ve lived long enough to know that the statement, “if man can become broad-minded to other ethnic groups, harmony is a definite possibility for all human kind”, is pure fantasy.

I think it’s a great essay. You’re a great writer, keep it up!
