Beowulf essay…can anyone help?

I have to write an essay on Beowulf for my AP English class on 5 -6 of Beowulf's virtues. I have to show how these virtues are used in the epic poem and draw some conclusions about their role in shaping the accepted code of conduct and virtues passed down to us through the centuries.I have absolutely no idea where to start. Especially since English is my second language and I've had an absolutely horrible English teacher for the past 3 years. I never had to write an essay or anything like that...all I had to do was read. Obviously, my English education went down the drain for the past 3 years...Can anyone give me some ideas about these virtues, how they were used, and their role in shaping the accepted code of conduct and virtues passed down to us through the centuries?I'm not asking anyone to write the essay for me, I will do that...but I really need some help, hints, and tips to get started and be able to get through the whole thing.Help would be much appreciated!

By a Pelican book.identify and define the code of conduct (doing the right thing)identify the virtues…(good qualities)group virtues into as few catagories as possible – like two – and call them traits.Discuss the traits in length then tie them to the code of conduct.Beowulf was more than a monster…if I remember he was a dragon…who loved his mother.Good luck!

Okay. I don’t know if this helps, but here goes. The Virtues that Beowulf possesses are those which, pretty much, the Anglo-Saxons held as the greatest attributes of their epic heroes. They are as follows:CouragePhysical StrengthLoyalty to a tribal kingWisdom in guiding othersSupreme self-confidenceFirst, start with the virtues themselves and how they are made evident in the epic. Beowulf shows INSANE courage when he goes off to help the Danes fight off Grendel and, later, Grendel’s mother. In addition to his courage, he also shows self confidence when he refuses to fight Grendel with his sword and shield, and instead chooses to use his hands. Also, when he chooses to fight Grendel’s mother-Alone. Physical strength? Please. HE RIPS GRENDEL’S ARM OFF WITH HIS BARE HANDS!I’m pretty sure that you didn’t read the “dismembered socialist version” of Beowulf (as my teacher calls it), and that you can find many more examples to talk about than I have mentioned.Good luck on your essay.

I came across a very nice bibliography page regading Beowulf [external link] However, as I understand, you don’t have much to read all that stuff and need some prompt tips. Actually I was looking for some in the Internet, but haven’t found nice information on your question. However, maybe I was just not looking in correct places. What I can tell you is that some really nice on-line services can help you with your essay. Personally I know that [external link] is a reliable company. However, you should first of all be able to write your own essays. What I guess is that you might get one prepared essay to see the structure, how it is all organized and then try writing your own ones. Because first and foremost, you should be good at writing. You will have so many other writing assignments. Good luck!P.S. [external link] is a nice source for learning how to write
