Do you capitalize scene numbers in Shakespeare?





I am writing an essay on Shakespeare and I refer to "scene one" should I capitalize it or is there no special way that the scenes and acts are typed?

    When I did an essay on Othello, if I quoted something I would simply put A1, S3.You can do it anyway you wish, such as:- Act 1, Scene 1- A1, S3- Act I, Scene IIIRemember that they used roman numerals in the 1600s – 1700s when Shakespeare was around so you could use this method.
